DELAWARE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MEETING

May 3, 2010

The Board of County Commissioners of Delaware County, Oklahoma, met in Regular Session on May 3, 2010 at 9:00 A.M and recessed at 1:15 PM.   Agenda was posted April 29, 2010 at 3:10PM on east entrance door and the south west entrance. 

 

Members of the Board present were Chairman-Commissioner Ken Crowder, Commissioner  Dave Kendrick –Member and Commissioner Billy Cornell – Member.   The Board of Delaware County Commissioners is hereby authorized to take action on the following items:

 

AGENDA #1- A motion was made by Commissioner Cornell and seconded by Commissioner Kendrick to approve of the Agenda as posted.  Roll call: Commissioner Crowder-yes, Commissioner Cornell-yes, Commissioner Kendrick – yes.  Motion carried.

AGENDA #4-A motion was made by Commissioner Kendrick and seconded by Commissioner Cornell to receive and file monthly reports from officers as follows: Co. Assessor; Co. Clerk.  Roll call:  Commissioner Crowder-yes, Commissioner Cornell-yes, Commissioner  Kendrick–yes.  Motion carried.

 

AGENDA #5-A motion was made by Commissioner Kendrick and seconded by Commissioner Cornell to receive/file/discuss any reports from engineers for Delaware County road/bridge projects.  John Blickensdorfer of Guy Engineering and Tim McCrary of Rose & McCrary gave updates on road/bridge projects.  Roll call: Commissioner Crowder-yes, Commissioner Cornell-yes, Commissioner Kendrick – yes. Motion carried.

 

AGENDA #6- A motion was made by Commissioner Crowder and seconded by Commissioner Kendrick to open and review all bids submitted on new rescue truck for the Cleora Fire Dept. The following bids were received: Blanchat Mfg.-$99,900.00; Fouts Bros. Fire Equi.-$72,900.00; Neel Fire Protection-$95,029.00.  Acceptance of lowest or best bid will be in Co. Commissioner’s meeting dated 5/10/10 Roll call: Commissioner Crowder-yes,  Commissioner Cornell-yes, Commissioner Kendrick – yes. Motion carried.

 

AGENDA #7-A motion was made by Commissioner Kendrick and seconded by Commissioner Cornell to approve singing of 324A Claim requesting payment to Rose & McCrary, PC for engineering fees on BRF-121C(133) CO-Cherokee Creek in the amount of  $6,650.00.  Roll call: Commissioner Crowder-yes, Commissioner Cornell-yes, Commissioner Kendrick – yes. Motion carried.

 

AGENDA #8-A motion was made by Commissioner Kendrick and seconded by Commissioner Cornell to approve signing letter of acceptance of Grant  with Grand Gateway EDA for roof replacement in the annex building.  This will be in the amount of $50,000.00. Roll call: Commissioner Crowder-yes, Commissioner Cornell-yes, Commissioner Kendrick – yes. Motion carried.

 

AGENDA #9-The motion to advertise for sealed bids on a new and used tractor was not needed at this time.  Roll call: Commissioner Crowder-yes, Commissioner Cornell-yes, Commissioner Kendrick – yes. Motion carried.

 

 

AGENDA #10--New Business-Discussion only on the changeover of the Court House entrance to the front (east) entrance on the 10th of May.
