TAX  CORRECTION SPECIAL MEETING

                                                                                                                               

August 4, 2009

 

 

           The Delaware County Board of Tax Corrections met in Regular session on  August 4,  2009 at  9:00 A.M. with the following members present:  Chairwoman of the Excise Board-Jacqueline Wright, Chairman of the County Commissioners-Billy Cornell, County Assessor 1st Deputy-Wayne Tuder.  County Assessor-Leon Hurt and Secretary- County Clerk Carol Fortner were absent.  The Chairwoman of the Excise Board-Jacqueline Wright called the Meeting to order and the following business was transacted. Board was recessed at 9:40 AM.

 

Agenda was posted July 28, 2009 at 3:20 A.M. on east entrance door and the south west entrance. 

 

AGENDA #1-A motion was made by Wayne Tuder and seconded by  Jackie Wright to approve of the agenda as posted.   Roll call:  Excise Board Chairwoman Jackie Wright –yes,  Wayne Tuder-Co. Assessor 1st Dep.-yes, Billy Cornell-Co. Commissioner-yes. Motion carried.

 

AGENDA #2-A motion was made by Wayne Tuder and seconded by Jackie Wright to approve of minutes of the regular meeting of  June 30, 2009.  Roll call: Excise Board Chairwoman Jackie Wright –yes,  Wayne Tuder-Co. Assessor 1st Dep.-yes, Billy Cornell-Co. Commissioner-yes. Motion carried.

 

AGENDA #3-A motion was made by Wayne Tuder and seconded by Jackie Wright to approve of Tax Roll Corrections  and Complaints of Erroneous Assessments as follows:

 

  1. Swim, Jarrell-The same property was assessed more than once the same year.-7077.
  2. Pike, Geanee-Error in transcribing from Co. Assessors Survey record to Assessment Rolls.-7078
  3. Parkside Apartments-Personal or real property is assessed to any person, not owning the same.-7079
  4. Red 11 Port Acquisition Co.-Property had no taxable situs in Co., did not exist, or was placed wrong.-7080
  5. Sikes Appraisal Co.- Property had no taxable situs in Co., did not exist, or was placed wrong.-7081
  6. Graber, Jerry- Property had no taxable situs in Co., did not exist, or was placed wrong.-7082
  7. Pointe Marin- Personal or real property is assessed to any person, not owning the same.-7083
  8. Glenn, Tammy-Lawful exemption deductions have not been taken into account.-7084
  9. Claggett, David- Personal or real property is assessed to any person, not owning the same.-7085
  10. Goins, Pat- Error in transcribing from Co. Assessors Survey record to Assessment Rolls.-7086
  11. Armondo’s Mexican Restaurant- Property had no taxable situs in Co., did not exist, or was placed wrong.-7087
  12. Armondo’s Mexican Restaurant- Property had no taxable situs in Co., did not exist, or was placed wrong.-7088
  13. Leach Trading Post-Property had no taxable situs in Co., did not exist, or was placed wrong.-7089
  14. Leach Trading Post-Property had no taxable situs in Co., did not exist, or was placed wrong.-7090
  15. R&D Insurance, Inc.- Property had no taxable situs in Co., did not exist, or was placed wrong.-7091
  16. Double AA Pawn- Property had no taxable situs in Co., did not exist, or was placed wrong.-7092

Roll call:  Excise Board Chairwoman Jackie Wright –yes, Wayne Tuder-Co. Assessor 1st. Dep.-yes, Billy Cornell-Co. Commissioner-yes.. Motion carried.

 

AGENDA #4-A motion was made by Jackie Wright and seconded by Wayne Tuder to review any new business.  No new business submitted.  Roll call: Excise Board Chairwoman Jackie Wright –yes, Wayne Tuder-Co. Assessor 1st Dep.-yes, Billy Cornell-Co. Commissioner-yes. Motion carried.

 

There being no further business, the Meeting adjourned.
