TAX  CORRECTIONS SPECIAL MEETING

 

AUGUST 2, 2011

 

 

The Delaware County Board of Tax Corrections met in Special session on August 2, 2011 at 3:35 P.M. with the following members present:  Wayne Tuder, 1st Dep.-County Assessor and County Excise Board-Jacqueline Wright-Chairwoman.  Chairman of the County Commissioners-Doug Smith was absent and Secretary-Carol Fortner was absent.  Excise Board Chairwoman-Jacqueline Wright called the Meeting to order and the following business was transacted. Board was recessed at 3:40 P.M.

 

Agenda was posted July 28, 2011 at 11:47 A.M. on east entrance door and the south west entrance. 

 

AGENDA #1-A motion was made by Wayne Tuder and seconded by Jackie Wright to approve of the August 2, 2011 agenda as posted.   Roll call:  Excise Board Chairwoman-Jacqueline Wright–yes,  Wayne Tuder, 1st Dep.-Co. Assessor-yes. Motion carried.

 

AGENDA #2-A motion was made by Wayne Tuder and seconded by Jackie Wright to approve of minutes of the regular meeting of July 5th, 2011.  Roll call: Excise Board Chairwoman-Jacqueline Wright–yes,  Wayne Tuder. 1st Dep.- Co. Assessor-yes. Motion carried.

 

AGENDA #3-A motion was made by Wayne Tuder and seconded by Jackie Wright to approve of Tax Roll Corrections  and Complaints of Erroneous Assessments for the month of August 2011 as follows:

 

7462                             Johnson, Darrell- Property had no taxable situs in County, did not exist or was placed wrong.

7463                             Sovereign Gaming Capital, LLC-Personal or Real is assessed to any person not owning the same.

7464                             Rocket Gaming Systems, LLC-Error in transcribing from Co. Assessor’s survey record to assessment rolls.

7465                             Hutchison, Leroy-Lawful exemption deductions have not been taken into account.

7466                             Hutchison, Leroy- Lawful exemption deductions have not been taken into account..

7467       C & T Construction-Property, real or personal was assessed though not taxable for such year.

7468       Williams, Dakota-Personal or Real is assessed to any person not owning the same.

7469       Lake Center Bapt. Church-Property exempt from taxation was assessed.

7470       Chisholm, Michael- Error in transcribing from Co. Assessor’s survey record to assessment rolls..

7471       Gilbert, John- Property had no taxable situs in County, did not exist or was placed wrong .

Roll call:  Excise Board Chairwoman-Jacqueline Wright–yes,  Wayne Tuder, 1st Dep.- Co. Assessor-yes. Motion carried.

 

AGENDA #4-A motion was made by Wayne Tuder and seconded by Jackie Wright to review any new business.  Discussion and date submitted for September 2011 meeting. A Special Meeting was set for September 8th, 2011 at 9:00 AM.  Roll call: Excise Board Chairwoman-Jacqueline Wright–yes, Wayne Tuder, 1st Dep.-Assessor-yes. Motion carried.

 

AGENDA #5-A motion was made by Wayne Tuder and seconded by Jacqueline Wright to open the floor to Citizen’s Participation or Public Comments. No comments presented. Roll call: Excise Board Chairwoman-Jacqueline Wright–yes, Wayne Tuder, 1st Dep.-Assessor-yes. Motion carried.

 

AGENDA #5-A motion was made by Wayne Tuder and seconded by Jacqueline Wright to adjourn the meeting. There being no further business, the Meeting adjourned at 3:40 PM.
