TAX  CORRECTIONS SPECIAL MEETING

                                                                     

NOVEMBER 9, 2011

 

       

   The Delaware County Board of Tax Corrections met in Special session on November 9, 2011 at 3:27 P.M. with the following members present:  Leon Hurt-County Assessor and County Excise Board-Jacqueline Wright-Chairwoman . Carol Fortner-Secretary and Chairman of the County Commissioners-Doug Smith was absent.  Excise Board Chairwoman-Jacqueline Wright called the Meeting to order and the following business was transacted. Board was recessed at 4:00 P.M.

 

Agenda was posted November 7, 2011 at 2:25 P.M. on east entrance door and the south west entrance. 

 

AGENDA #1-A motion was made by Leon Hurt and seconded by Jackie Wright to approve of the November 9, 2011 agenda as posted.   Roll call:  Excise Board Chairwoman-Jacqueline Wright–yes,  Leon Hurt-Co. Assessor-yes. Motion carried.

 

AGENDA #2-A motion was made by Leon Hurt and seconded by Jackie Wright to approve of minutes of the regular meeting of October 4th, 2011.  Roll call: Excise Board Chairwoman-Jacqueline Wright–yes,  Leon Hurt- Co. Assessor-yes. Motion carried.

 

AGENDA #3-A motion was made by Leon Hurt and seconded by Jackie Wright to approve of Tax Roll Corrections  and Complaints of Erroneous Assessments for the month of October 2011 as follows:

 

7484       Crawford, Isom L.- Valuations entered are at variance with valuations equalized.

7485       McGuire, Shaun- Valuations entered are at variance with valuations equalized..

7486       Proctor, E. Marie- Valuations entered are at variance with valuations equalized.

7487       Brown, Nancy- Valuations entered are at variance with valuations equalized.

7488       Brown, Nancy- Valuations entered are at variance with valuations equalized.

7489       Davis, Jerry-Valuations entered are at variance with valuations equalized.

7490       Couch, James-Valuations entered are at variance with valuations equalized.

7491       Couch, James-Valuations entered are at variance with valuations equalized.

7492        Boyd, Carla Trust-The same property was assessed more than once the same year.

7493        The Preserve of Grand Lake, LLC- Valuations entered are at variance with valuations equalized.

7496        Thirsty Monkey Bar- Property had no taxable situs in County, did not exist or was placed wrong.

7497         Swaggerty, Larry- Property had no taxable situs in County, did not exist or was placed wrong.

7498         Red Barn Smoke Shop- Property had no taxable situs in County, did not exist or was placed wrong.

7499         Spence, Eddie-Error in transcribing from Co. Assessor’s survey record to assessment rolls.

7500         Rea, Jose- Error in transcribing from Co. Assessor’s survey record to assessment rolls.

7501         Two State Auto-Property, real or personal was assessed though not taxable for such year.

7502        Grindstaff, M. Boyd- Error in transcribing from Co. Assessor’s survey record to assessment rolls.

7503        Johnson, Eugene-Lawful exemption deductions have not been taken into account.

7504        Hoover, David- Lawful exemption deductions have not been taken into account.

7505         Madewell, Bobby- Lawful exemption deductions have not been taken into account.

7506         Grand Lake Title & Escrow- Property had no taxable situs in County, did not exist or was placed wrong.

7507         Sugar Shack- Property had no taxable situs in County, did not exist or was placed wrong.

7508         Sugar Shack- Property had no taxable situs in County, did not exist or was placed wrong.

7509         Precision Machine & Mfg. Co.- Error in transcribing from Co. Assessor’s survey record to assessment rolls.

Roll call:  Excise Board Chairwoman-Jacqueline Wright–yes,  Leon Hurt- Co. Assessor-yes. Motion carried.

 

 

AGENDA #4-A motion was made by Leon Hurt and seconded by Jackie Wright to review any new business.  No new business.  Roll call: Excise Board Chairwoman-Jacqueline Wright–yes, Leon Hurt-Assessor-yes. Motion carried.

 

AGENDA #5-A motion was made by Leon Hurt and seconded by Jacqueline Wright to open the floor to Citizen’s Participation or Public Comments. No comments presented. Roll call: Excise Board Chairwoman-Jacqueline Wright–yes, Leon Hurt-Assessor-yes. Motion carried.

 

AGENDA #6-A motion was made by Leon Hurt and seconded by Jacqueline Wright to adjourn the meeting. There being no further business, the Meeting adjourned at 4:00 PM. Roll call: Excise Board Chairwoman-Jacqueline Wright–yes, Leon Hurt-Assessor-yes. Motion carried.
